Talk With Keith

In the middle of the journey of my life, I found myself in a dark wood, for the straight path had been lost. Dante

As I'm nearing the end of my sixties, I reflect back on what a journey it has been! Mountaintop experiences, getting lost in the forest, times of illness and times of excitement and boredom, love and loss. Life can be challenging and I have a sense of deep appreciation to all of my fellow travelers who have helped me along the way. No one is meant to do this alone. If, like Dante, you find yourself a bit lost in the dark wood, it may be time to pause, take stock, and start anew.
Most of my clients are at that place when they come to see me. Unsure of which direction to go or even how to proceed. Together, we can find a way. That doesn't mean I have all the answers, far from it. Rather, I have discovered that therapy is a journey itself and the way forward often becomes clear as we face the different issues at hand. I love this quote from Mark Nepo:
To journey without being changed is to be a nomad.
To change without journeying is to be a chameleon.
To journey and be transformed is to be a pilgrim.
