Relationships today are in a state of flux. People hunger for stability and security without sacrificing their identity. My approach to couples counseling is based on the Gottman Method which frankly recognizes that conflict is inevitable. We teach there are two kinds: solvable and perpetual. Even in the best of relationships, solvable conflicts make up 30% while perpetual is 70%. So many couples come into my office exhausted from trying to solve the unsolvable! What's a person to do?
